Watch Your Step When You are At the Poles Otherwise You Might Fall Into a Hole!


  • The pole is icy and cold and windy. 
  • The ice is so slippery that you could fall.
  • It is mountainous with clouds covering the peaks.
  • It’s isolated and far away from anywhere that is warm.
  • The pole is rugged with holes in the ground and you can’t see the holes because it’s covered with snow.

  • The moon is isolated and its far away from the earth.
  • It is weightless because it has no gravity.
  • The moon is quiet and empty because nothing lives there.
  • Its grey and rugged because the moon has deep holes in the ground.
  • There are some deep holes but also shallow holes.
  • Sometimes  the moon can be yellow, red or white.

  1. The Red Cross helps people who have been struck with natural disasters around the world.

  1. They offer food, water and shelter to the homeless and the hungry.

3.   People from the Red Cross give money to the poor that doesn’t have any money.

4.  Volunteers in the Red Cross provides the rejected with small homes.   
 
5. The Red Cross gives injections and medical supplies to those who are suffering from illnesses or diseases.

6. The Red Cross helps people and prisoners in wars by sending them packages of supplies such as food, water and medical equipment.

Listening to the word of God!

On Sunday, 30th of July, my family and I went to St Patrick's church to attend mass. When we arrived there, I saw a lot of people. I knelt down and did the sign of the cross. Mom and dad did the sign of the cross too then we sat on the pew near the font.

Then I saw Father started walking in the middle towards the altar. The projector  was used to show the responses and songs. We heard beautiful singing from the choir.  My favourite song was Shine Jesus Shine.

Father said a prayer,  ''Through Him, with Him and in Him, Almighty God for ever and ever.  Amen.
When the mass ended, Father said '' Go in the peace of Christ.'' It was good hear the word of God on Sunday with mom and dad.

My favourite part of the day was when I responded and joined in the singing at mass.

The Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa!


New Zealand is located in the Southwestern Pacific Ocean and the Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa.  The capital city of New Zealand is Wellington.

The two main islands are the North Island and the South Island. There are also smaller islands such as Stewart Island, Waiheke Island and Chatham Island.

The most popular sport is Rugby. Kiwis also play other sports such as football, golf, cricket and netball.

Major cities in New Zealand includes Christchurch, Hamilton, Queenstown,  Dunedin and Auckland. Auckland is the most populated city.

People mostly speak English and Te Reo Maori.
The Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840 between the British and the Maori as a peace treaty.
The Indigenous people are the Maori people.

In 1893, New Zealand became the first country in the world to give all women the right to vote.

New Zealand is a peaceful and relaxing place to live and there are more and more people living in New Zealand.

I had so much fun at Timezone!

On Sunday 4th of June, my family and I went to the St. Patrick’s church and also Timezone.

During mass, I responded to the word of God with my mum and dad. We also sang many songs and we read some prayers. There were a lot of people at St. Patrick’s church. Father said the word of God and some prayers.

After church we went to the Timezone. There were many games in Timezone; gun games and tank games and more. I played on the tank game, but I died a lot of times. Then I went and played a gun game. In this game, I have to shoot enemy hostiles. I played for ten minutes. I really liked this game. After that, I went to play a sniper game and shot many of my enemies. When my character died in the game, my mum and dad took me home.

My favourite part of the day was when I enjoyed a lot of games in Timezone. I enjoyed using the fake guns to shoot at my enemies.
